Trail Maps and Trail Systems
We track hundreds of miles of ROW's, perform trail clearing, maintain, provide public awareness and political support, create trail mapping and marking (trail signs) and survey lost trails and blocked ROW's. What We Do - Palm City Farms Trail Association
Trail Maintenance
One of the easiest ways for us to maintain the trails for everyone to use is to try to address landscaping needs, illegal obstructions, etc as soon as possible. If you see something, say something.
Things we need to know about:
- Overgrown vegetation
- Flooded out areas
- Downed trees
- New fences or gates blocking trails
- Garbage or building materials dumped on the trail
- Aggressive people accusing you of trespassing
- Unlawful presence of ATV or dirt bike use on trails
Martin County Sheriffs Office has recommended calling 911 for any unlawful or aggressive situation.
Public Use of Trails
Palm City Farms Trail Association’s goal is to maintain the Right-Of-Ways (ROW) in Palm City Farms for public use as trails. We will do so while complying with county rules and regulations. We will encourage members to lawfully use these ROW’s and the public as well. We will advocate for all legal public uses on these ROWs and educate, encourage, and negotiate with landowners that have fenced or blocked these public lands to open the trail system up so that it can be restored to it’s intended use. We will continue to monitor the ROWs for new obstructions and lobby the county for opening up more of these trails and encourage new development to add more miles to the trail system.
