Palm City Farms Trail Association is a Non-Profit Community Service Organization established June of 2003. We believe in preserving, maintaining and promoting responsible public use of Martin County's historic trail system. With 100's of miles of trails to maintain we need all of the help we can get. Our mission is to identify, clear, maintain and revitalize safe trails in Palm City Farms, Florida. As well as establish, organize and gain access to other county lands for horseback riding, biking and hiking.
Our trail association works diligently to open, clear and make South Florida trails safe for public enjoyment. We work with neighboring communities to identify the established trail system.
Maintenance and clearing projects ensure trails are safe for children and adults alike. Palm City Farms Trail Association also hosts trash clean up days. These projects instill valuable lessons as well.
Palm City Farms Trail Association intends to work diligently to rectify misplaced fences, remove misleading signs, clear intentional and unsafe blockages and barriers across county property.
We organize joint rides, new member trail intro rides, drive-a-way rides to nearby parks and even organize camping trips.
Palm City Farms Trail Association advocates for new trail lands, we work to clear or open closed off ROW's report newly closed trails or other issues, petition county to make blocked, fenced or obstructed trails available to the public.
The kids relationship with their parents on these trips is vital to happy, kind and respectful young adults. The unique S Florida trails system offers our youth a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience as an alternative to "Hanging Out". This freedom gives them a sense of self worth you can't replace. Mission Accomplished!!!
The day trips and horse camping trips are the highlight of the year. We would like to thank S.F.W.M.D. for their efforts to make so many properties available to the public.

Palm City Farms Trail Association has been working to resolve the access issue to Hawk's Hammock Trail System off Merkel Street. After many discussing we are happy to announce the North Entrance off SW Green Farms La. (714 & I95) is being updated. The update will include a trailer friendly turnaround, improved trail system access, kiosk, small pavilion / pole barn, exotic vegetation treatment and boundary fencing. Thank you Martin County for this new facility.
